Mason Jar Mania

Mason jars remind me of my Mom canning and Hippies. Don't go getting your dreadlocks in a wad. I have nothing against them, but they sure do use Mason jars to drink out of and eat from. We have a lot of inside jokes in my family about them, but maybe I shouldn't share them here. I admit to liking the Mason jar craze. I especially like the blue ones and admit to owning a few.
I have drooled over the Mason jar soap dispensers for awhile and finally got around to attempting to make one. The lid I had was zinc and even had the glass thingy inside the lid. I had to bust out my new glass drill bit I got for Christmas. Actually, I didn't use it, but Mr.Dickey decided to do it for me.
Here is what we came up with:

 I think it turned out well, but the plactic top sits up a bit too far. I need a bigger drill bit, but it'll do for now (another family joke).

Now I have to find some soap to put in it.
