Boxing

One of the benefits of being a teacher is the boxes. Now I love the kids and I honestly look forward to each day of teaching, but the only thing I really get for free are boxes. Xerox paper boxes are the best. They are the perfect size for storing all sorts of things. They stack nicely too. I had a brilliant idea one day to make them even better.

I found this fabric in my stash and decided I wasn't going to actually do anything with it. I like it, but not enough to stare at it every day as a valance, pillow, or something of that nature. Soooo I took my handy dandy marker and traced the lines of the box onto the fabric and cut. Next, I used my nifty glue gun and blued. Instant pretty box.
The fabric makes them a bit sturdier and obviously makes them pretty. I could see rows of these lining my storage room shelves. Better yet what a perfect way to present a gift! The possibilities are endless. Wow. I sure can get excited over a box.

  1. I always pick up fabric gift boxes when I come across them at Home Goods, Michaels, etc. I just think it adds a nice touch to a gift. I never thought about doing it myself. Thanks for the idea. Stopping by from Between Naps on the Porch. Thanks for sharing.
